Visiting the Stadium where T-nation’s assembly will be

As our team was headed towards our fourth tour stop we noticed that we were passing by a stadium. “ WAITTTT!” someone yelled, is this the?”

“Surrrpriseee,” said our team leader as he grinned. Much of the tour team this year, both Americans and locals had never visited the stadium where the National Assembly of T-nation will take place.

During our time on the track field of the stadium, the Lord reminded me of Isaiah 66: 8 - “or shall a nation be born at once?”( KJV ). And I began to come alive, as I imagined what the stadium would look like full of surrender hearts to God.

Contend’s director who has labored for national assemblies in America, gave us historical context of the start of stadium Christianity. Martyrs were killed for entertainment in Colosseums during the time of Roman emperors like Nero. Today, we still get to call the church to preparing their people for a day of sacrifice. To travel from all across the nation for an entire day of fasting and prayer to turn the nation to God. I began to weep.

“Nations have had their crusades, but who will teach them Joel 2,” said Laura Allred from A Million Women. I have been mediating on this, since this past Sunday. This past Sunday our team taught the T-nation team the practicals on preparing for an Esther fast. I’m currently getting to see locals of my generation, give up time to not just host these tour stops, but also pray with us for breakthrough. So that an entire city would be stirred to sacrifice too. More and more of this nation is stepping into the Christianity Jesus lived. Where he fasted 40 days and nights, and still spent hours in prayer amidst throughout his ministry, to face that which was to come — the cross. Oh! — how awesome it’ll be when T-nation comes together for a day of fasting and prayer admist threat of invasion. That in power of fasting and prayer, they would continue to stand against an anti Christian government trying to seize them. They who are called to continue to take the torch of the gospel throughout Asia.
